In class we are reading The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas. It is about the jews and natsies war. We had to draw a new uniform for the father in the book. Here is my drawing.
In class we have been looking at segregation lately we have been looking at it in South Africa. Nelson Mandela was a very good person and really wanted intergration and equal rights. We had to put some Nelson Mandela quotes on a slide and write why we related to the quotes. Here is mine.
In class at the start of the week we finished learning about the Polynesian Panther Party and actavist group in NZ. And we got onto segregation. We were learing about the affect MLK had on racism and injustice. He unfortunatley got assasinsted by James Earl Ray and passed away but we all still remeber his amazing speech ‘ I have a dream’. Here is some information about him in a poster I made.
At the start of the week my class and I had to make a Diamante poem. This is a poem in the shape of a diamond. You have seven lines and two subjects at the top and bottom. What I fund hard when doing this was thinking of adjectives for each subject. What I liked about this was that it was easy to come up with two subjects. What I would like to work on for next time would be thinking of better words for words like nice before marking.

Yesterday we got taught how to write a bio poem. It was really fun, easy and enjoyable. What I foundhard was making it look good because it was hard to think of colours that go together well. What I found easier was writing it because I absolutely just love writing. I loved doig this peice of writing because it was just generally fun. Here is my Bio Poem.
Last week on Friday T1 had Miss Donovan. One of the tasks we had to complete was called The Big Question. It is where we get a statement or explanation and have to write what we think about it and our opinion. We had two choices and I did them both. What I found easy about this task was writing down my opinion and making the writing. What I found hard about this task was completing them both in the time we had we only had about 20mins so it was very hard to complete it in the time we had. Here is my work!
This week we had to make some goals and make it look appealing. I did some slides and put tie dye backrounds on. I then put my goals on and put my bitmoji doing my goals on there. What I found easy about this was putting my bitmoji on and decorating it. What I found harder was thinking of some goals to put on and it might sound easy but it’s actually very hard if you don’t already have an idea in your head. What I want to work on for next time is writing some goals that are harder to acheive. So without further ado… Here is my work!
Last week we had to write about our holidays. I wrote about how me and my Mum went on a trip to Blenheim. What I found hard was decorating it and making it look appealing because it is very hard to do with a long piece of writing. What I found easier was writing it because it just came so easily and I love writing so it was also very fun and gave me a lot of joy. What I would like to work on next time is making my writing more detailed and interesting. I loved doing this task because as I have already told you I love writing so here is my work.
We had to choose a country from the 2023 RWC I did Uruguay. What I found hard was trying to find facts and what was easier was decorating it. What I want to work on for next time is putting in a bit more infomation. Here is my work!
Last week we had to put on our blogs two of our Kensuke’s Kingdom reading tasks. Kensuke’s Kingdom is by Michael Morpurgo. One of my tasks was doing a book trailer with some kind help from Chantelle who was Michael’s Mum and also played a second role in our trailer as Kensuke. I also had Tharika in the Book Trailer she was the camera person, director and narrtor. I was the script writer and editor and I also played a role in the trailer as Michael. What I found easy was when we were filming it and what I found hard was the time we had to do it and editing it. We had filmed it the day before it needed to be due the next day so after a lot of hard work editing after and before school the next day it finally got finished. What I would like to work on for next time is getting the filming done quicker by not laughing and have to retake that scene as much. Here is my work!
