Recently we had to create a school rugby T-shirt. We were allowed to do it on our Chromebooks or paper. I did mine on my Chromebook it’s not the school colours but I think it would make them more energized and the other teams scared with the colours I’ve used. Something I liked about this was it was fun to design something which we don’t get to normally do. Something I didn’t like was it having to be a rugby shirt and no other sports. Overall I really like this task. Here is my shirt.
This week we had to make an animation about the terrible Tangiwai disaster. It was a train crash right here in New Zealand. What I found hard was finding a good train to use and what I found easy was duplicating the slides. Here is mine.
We had to make a slide or poster with facts about the horrible Ballantynes fire in Christchurch. The thing I found easy about this was decorating it. Something hard I found about this was writing all the facts and trying not to miss much out. Here is mine.

On Tuesday we had to do some research about firemen or fire trucks. I chose to do fire trucks and we had to draw them through the years I did mine on a Google drawing. We also had to put some facts around. I liked this task because it was nice and relaxing and actually didn’t take long to do. The thing I found hard was drawing the trucks with shapes and tools without importing any images.
For book week we have to do a door every year. This year Miss Kaye helped us decide on doing Giraffes can’t dance we spent a lot of time on it and two people opened the door! We all worked well together and I had had the job of putting all the letters up. Sam and Cass made a cricket and everyone worked together to make the rest of the animals. Mila did a great job painting the door. But we managed to get it fixed in time here is our hours of work on the judging day.
We had to make an animation of the Mount Erebus plane crash. I loved doing this task and it was really fun. It was hard work though. Here is mine.
This week we had to write a report about an animal. I chose a Mole Rat to represent a boy in my class. I loved writing this plan for the report because it was nice and easy to do bullet points. This was a fun and easy task and I learned lots about Naked Mole Rats. Here is mine.
In class we learned about the dawn raids. We had to make a slide from questions from reading comprehension and decorate it well. My favourite thing about doing this was decorating it because it was a really fun thing to do. What I didn’t like about this was writing was writing all the information down. Here is mine.
In class we are reading The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas. It is about the jews and natsies war. We had to draw a new uniform for the father in the book. Here is my drawing.
